Project works included the upgrade of Al Sadd intersection and its infrastructure utilities, in addition to upgrading the roads adjacent to this intersection such as Al Sadd Street and Jawaan Street at a total length of 3.2 Km. The traffic signal at Al Sadd intersection was also upgraded, in addition to providing pedestrian and cycle lanes with a total length of 6.4 km, providing road markings and directional signs, and upgrading the street lighting system.
In addition, works involved upgrading the 4 km-long stormwater and surface water drainage network, the 1.5 km-long sewage network, and the 1.5 km-long TSE lines, in addition to providing protection for the existing power lines and telecommunications cables, and installing new asphalt layers. Beautification and landscaping works were also implemented alongside both streets and in the median to provide 53,000 square metres of green areas.
